REAP is a free LIPA program for customers with lower incomes that helps manage energy use and even lowers electric bills. Participation in REAP can make homes healthier and safer. Depending upon individual circumstances, REAP representatives choose items that will make your home (apartment, house, condo, mobile home) the MOST energy efficient. We may install FREE high efficiency, compact fluorescent bulbs and/or a FREE energy-efficient refrigerator. A LIPA customer is eligible if the household income is at or under our guidelines: $49,882/yr for one person or $57,008/yr for two persons. Call for complete income guideline info.
